Saranac Lake Hosts the 1st Annual Halfway to St. Paddy’s Day Festival

Join a spirited celebration of Irish culture and community spirit at the inaugural Halfway to St. Paddy’s Day Festival, proudly hosted by the Saranac Lake Irish Gaelic Organization (SLIGO) in the heart of downtown Saranac Lake.

This lively outdoor event will transform Berkeley Green (adjacent to Hotel Saranac) into a hub of festivities, where patrons can indulge in a delightful array of traditional Irish music, dance, food and beverages.

Immerse yourself in the rhythm of the day with captivating performances from skilled Irish dancers, and let the sounds of live music fill the air, transporting you straight to the soul of Ireland.

With activities designed for all ages, this family-friendly festival promises an afternoon brimming with entertainment, cultural experiences, and the unique flavors of the local community. Gather your friends and family to enjoy a day filled with joy, laughter, and a true celebration of Irish heritage!

The Halfway to St. Paddy’s Day Festival is a community block party designed to celebrate Irish and Gaelic culture and heritage with live music, Irish dancers, SLIGO swag tent, food vendors, mobile bar, face painting, and more.

The festival takes place on Main Street, from the Hotel Saranac parking lot to Berkeley Green. Key event activities include:

• Live music

  • Knotty Patty Celtic Band performs at 3:30 pm and again at 5 pm on Berkeley Green.

  • Near the Saranac Lake Library, catch The Shamrockers at 2 pm

• Irish dance demonstrations near the library. The Bethlehem Irish Dance Group performs at 3 pm, followed by the Champlain Valley Irish Dance Group

• Kids’ activities near the library from 2 pm to 4 pm

• Local food and drink vendors, including Campfire Grill, Hex N Hop Brewery and ADK Mobile Bar

Free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.
