Fall weekends and craft beer have a natural affinity in the Adirondacks, and Raquette River Brewing gives the pairing three full days at its ninth annual Oktoberfest, October 9–11, 2026, in Tupper Lake.

The free festival at the brewery on Balsam Street combines special beer releases, live music, food trucks, a large maker market and family-friendly activities.

This is less about recreating Munich in the Adirondacks than celebrating what Raquette River Brewing does particularly well: gathering people around locally brewed beer, good food and a sprawling mix of entertainment.

Food is a significant part of the weekend. Confirmed food trucks include LJ's, PorkBusters BBQ, Poppy's Wood Fired Pizza and Catchin' Fish & Chips, while Canton Apples adds an appropriately autumnal note. Organizers say five food trucks will participate throughout the three-day festival.

The brewery will also offer exclusive RRB Oktoberfest steins for those who prefer their fall beer with a souvenir attached.

Saturday brings the big Oktoberfest market.

Saturday, October 10, packs the most programming into the weekend. More than 15 vendors are expected, with everything from leather goods, crafts and crochet to garden gifts, permanent jewelry and Reiki sessions.

Siren Skin Artistry will offer tattoos throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis. Face painting adds an option for younger festivalgoers, while Sometimes Jeff performs from 1–4 pm and the Matthew Vrooman Band takes over from 6–9 pm.

The vendor roster includes Long Last Leather, Dragonfly Designs, Jessica Wood Reiki Sessions, Cedar Hedge Farm, The Bakery Barn, Plum Brook Creations and several other regional makers.

Sunday keeps the Raquette River Brewing celebration going.

Oktoberfest continues Sunday, October 11, with another round of food, beer and entertainment. Dominick Amato performs from 2–5 pm.

Alexandria Fine Line Tattoos will offer flash fine-line tattoos, and permanent jewelry returns. The three-day format makes Sunday an appealing option for visitors who would rather close out the holiday weekend than tackle Saturday's fuller schedule.

For the broadest mix of music, vendors and activities, Saturday is the day to target. Visitors mainly interested in the brewery, food and live music may prefer Friday evening or Sunday's simpler schedule.

Visitors planning to sample the beer releases should arrange a safe ride before arriving, particularly because transportation options in Tupper Lake can be limited.

Enjoy the Oktoberfest spirit—and please drink responsibly.

A Tupper Lake Oktoberfest with a local identity.

Raquette River Brewing's Oktoberfest has become an annual Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day weekend tradition, but its strongest calling card may be that it doesn't rely solely on lederhosen and polka to make the case for attending.

The combination of Adirondack craft beer, local makers, food trucks and regional musicians gives the festival a distinctly Tupper Lake identity. With free admission all three days, visitors can decide whether to make Oktoberfest the weekend's centerpiece or simply stop in for a beer, something to eat and a little music.
