Join a group of bird enthusiasts for a pleasant walk to observe birds in their natural habitats at Newcomb's Adirondack Interpretive Center (AIC).

AIC guides will lead a group to look for songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, and other feathered creatures. Guest birders James Mills and Emily Reichert will guide you for a walk along the Rich Lake Marsh in the Huntington Wildlife Forest. This walk is along a mostly level dirt road and is excellent for beginning birders. Binoculars are available thanks to Northern New York Audubon.

The walk is an easy ramble of about 1.5 miles and will be great for beginning birders. Meet at 9:30 am at the AIC in Newcomb.

The guides recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and bringing water and a snack.

Registration for the event is required. Sign up online or email shample@esf.edu to register. For the latest information, visit AIC’s Facebook page.
