Fort Ticonderoga hosts the 27th annual War College of the Seven Years’ War on the weekend of May 19, 2023. This three-day event draws historians and history buffs globally to learn, discuss, and experience important aspects of what’s known as the French and Indian war in the US.

Food Truck Fridays on the Pond August 5
Food Truck Fridays continue in Brant Lake at the Horicon Community Center. 2022 vendors include Alaturco, AOK Hot Dogs, Full Cord Pizza, Mac Factor, Red Wagon BBQ, Chilly Willy’s ice cream, and more. In addition to great local food, patrons can experience great local music. At this writing the Willie Playmore Trio is scheduled to appear on August 5th.

Tired of cooking for your family or need a diversion from campsite fare? Food Truck Fridays on Mill Pond in Brant Lake at the Horicon Community Center are your answer. Visitors enjoy delicious options from the area’s best food trucks as well as live music and other entertainment.
Tupper Lake Field Day
Tupper Lake Field Day takes place on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Tupper Lake Municipal Park. The events kick-off with a parade featuring local businesses. There will be a float contest, with cash prizes awarded for winners.
The Tupper Lake Field Day Games will commence post-parade with good old-fashioned field games in youth and adult categories, including sack races, 3-legged races, bucket relays, tug-of-war and a color run. All events are meant to show community support for first responders.
Other Field Day features include local food trucks, vendors, carnival-style games, a face painter and other activities guaranteed to bring smiles to all ages.
Adirondack Artisan Festival
The Adirondack Artisan Festival is an excellent opportunity to access artisans and art-makers from throughout the region. Visitors will find paintings, furniture, specialty foods, sculptures, clothing, stained glass, and more. From the traditional to the contemporary, the local products for sale at the festival are inspired by the natural majesty of the Adirondack wilderness; many are made using techniques passed down across generations. The festival offers a unique and memorable market for all things Adirondack, highlighting the variety of historical and modern processes used by craftsmen and artisans in the North Country today.
Food Truck Fridays on the Pond July 22
Food Truck Fridays resume on Mill Pond in Brant Lake. Located at the Horicon Community Center, visitors will enjoy delicious options from the area’s best food trucks as well as live music and other entertainment.
Long Lake Paddling Olympics
Once again, the Long Lake Association hosts its annual Paddling Olympics on Long Lake Town Beach. All ages are welcome to participate in the many fun-filled events, including the Bang and Go Back, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Hand Paddling, Dress up Relay, Kayak Races, The Dipper, Back Paddling, Hurry Scurry and more.
Registration is free, and the Lions Club will offer visitors a tasty BBQ lunch.
