Lake Harris Lodge sits in the heart of the ADK on the shores of Lake Harris in Newcomb, NY.

It delivers a one-two punch to the senses of an Immediately warm and inviting atmosphere, followed by delicious food and cocktails.

The culinary wizards at Lake Harris Lodge have managed to create a menu that is accessible to virtually any guest but includes twists to delight and “mix things up” for diners who are looking for something extra. There’s no such thing as an “ordinary” meal here.

A menu designed to appeal to a variety of palates.

On a usual dining-out adventure, our ADK family’s tastes run from following contemporary gastronomic trends to the Fred Flintstone Dining Society (i.e., if there isn’t prime rib, a NY strip, or a ribeye on the menu, it’s a hard pass).

On our visits to Lake Harris Lodge, everyone finds something to like. Starters include their Fruitti Di Mare (get the spicy Fra Diavolo), succulent bacon-wrapped scallops, black bean hummus, an eclectic variety of fresh chicken wings and sauces and more.

Menu options from Lake Harris Lodge.

Entrees run the gamut from seafood options, pasta, a tasty Rainbow Pad Thai, and, of course, steaks. All come with a salad and fresh-baked rolls. Papa Bear loves that.

Looking for casual fare? You’ll find burgers and sandwiches on the menu, including the insane “Dirty” Burger – an 8 oz burger topped with hot, smoky shredded pork, coleslaw and cheddar cheese. Woof.

There is a steady rotation of daily specials to keep things lively. Salad dressings, bread and rolls are all made in-house. Ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible.

Cheers! Enjoy a festive beverage prepared by master mixologists.

Lake Harris Lodge is a great backdrop to celebrate a fantastic achievement, like climbing one of the High Peaks or just toasting to making it through another day.

Their master mixologists can make almost any cocktail you may desire, plus they have a full menu of delightful concoctions to enjoy, including sodas and juices for the Lil’ ADKers.

Lake Harris Lodge pays equally close attention to their delicious selection of mocktails. And beers on tap emphasize locally-made ales from Frog Alley in Schenectady to Switchback Brewery in Burlington, VT.

Polished Adirondack charm with casual refinement.

The Lake Harris Lodge makes everyone feel at home. The two-story dining room’s focal point is a gorgeous stone fireplace. The tables are well-spaced for diners' comfort. The tavern area features a gleaming wooden bar and soft lighting. Large windows provide views of the lake, and outdoor seating is available.

A year-round destination for fantastic dining. And you can stay overnight, too.

The Lake Harris Lodge is open year-round, which is excellent news for those who love to be here in the winter just as much as during temperate times.

We haven’t had occasion to stay at Lake Harris Lodge, but they offer cabin rental and seasonal glamping sites. The accommodations are spacious and intimate, with private full-bathroom facilities and lakeside amenities.

If the Central Adirondacks are your destination, put Lake Harris Lodge on your map of places to visit.
