The Town of Chester Celebrates 225 Years in the Adirondacks

Chestertown, a quaint village in northern Warren County, NY, will celebrate its 225th Anniversary on July 13, 2024. The Town will celebrate the historic anniversary with music, food trucks and a car show around the Town Hall grounds. The festivities will culminate with an awesome fireworks display.
The anniversary celebration event is free and open to the public. Highlights include:

The Historical Society of the Town of Chester has organized a special two-day photo exhibit featuring the town's history in honor of its incorporation 225th anniversary.

From the 1880s to the present, three hundred fifty images of Chester will be hung in Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 & 14, from 10 am to 5 pm. The photos were selected from private family albums, the society's collection, postcards, and other sources.
