Take advantage of the long weekend and bring the whole family to Lake George for a frosty good time.
Lake George's Winter Carnival is an Adirondack tradition not to be missed. It’s the perfect destination for the long Presidents Day Weekend. Or, if you have Lil’ ADKers, the traditional winter break.
February 17 and 18 are the third weekend of the month-long Carnival festivities. And while organizers are finalizing the Presidents’ Day weekend activities, some fun events are already on the schedule. Enjoy bonfires on the beach while kids play games and make crafts at Shephard Park from noon to 3 pm.
Pony rides are available at Shephard Park during this time for a fee.
Get ready to show off your furry friend's talents at the LG Dogs Got Talent contest, presented by the Dog Cabin. The event starts at 2:30 pm, so don't miss out on the chance to showcase your best friend and compete for exciting prizes.
Participate in the Polar Plunge at 3 pm in Lake George's frigid Adirondack purifying waters. Register in advance or at the Souvenir Tent in Shephard Park. And don’t forget to bring a towel!
If you want to enjoy the winter scenery in a more relaxed way, consider taking a romantic horse-drawn carriage or sleigh ride on Canada Street with “A Time to Remember.” Please note that there is a fee for this activity. For more information, you can call Tina at 518.321.5539.
