“Love, Loss and What I Wore” at Tannery Pond Center
Our Town Theater Group (OTTG) presents “Love, Loss and What I Wore” at Tannery Pond Center. Written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, and based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, the play explores how deeply affecting an item of clothing can be.
The central storyteller, Gingy, shares her experiences from childhood through adulthood, connecting the threads through memories of the clothes she wore.
The ensemble brings to life the siblings, daughters, friends, and aunts forming a clothesline of wonderful stories—whimsical to harrowing—on subjects that include marriage, divorce, motherhood, rape, abandonment and body image. Despite the weighty subjects, the stories are moving, relatable, and often funny.
Dianne Dreyer directs the production. She recently joined OTTG after retiring from a 40-year career in motion pictures and television, where she worked as a producer, a performer, technician and director.
Memorable credits include such films as: The English Patient, Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley, You’ve Got Mail, Julie and Julia, Signs, Unbreakable, The Perfect Storm, Air Force One, and A Man Called Otto.
This is a touring production performing in various venues. It will be performed at Tannery Pond Center in North Creek on:
Friday, October 10, 2025, at 7 pm
Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 2 pm
OTTG will also perform the play on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7 pm at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls.
