Old Forge’s Total Solar Eclipse 2024 Celebration
Enjoy a full weekend of fun events.
Experiencing a total solar eclipse can be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many people. It occurs when the Moon comes in between the Sun and Earth, blocking out the Sun's rays entirely for a few minutes. This phase, also called "totality," makes the sky significantly darker, similar to early dawn or late dusk.
During the Great North American Eclipse of 2024, Old Forge residents and visitors will have a front-row seat to this spectacular event.
