The second weekend of the Fire & Ice Bar at Fort William Henry Hotel turns the volume up even higher. Running January 30 and 31, this installment of the Polar Ice Bar experience coincides with the opening weekend of the Lake George Village Winter Carnival—making it one of the most electric winter weekends in the Adirondacks.

While ice sculptures, firepits, and live music anchor both weekends, weekend two brings an added layer of excitement, culminating in fireworks over Lake George on Saturday night.

Once again, the Lakeside Restaurant & Lounge transforms into a fire-and-ice showcase, blending indoor comfort with outdoor winter spectacle. Guests can wander between sculpted ice displays and glowing firepits while sipping specialty cocktails crafted for cold-weather sipping.

The Polar Ice Bar’s indoor-outdoor format makes it easy to stay cozy without missing the action. Warm up inside with live music, then step outside to take in the winter air, the glow of firelight, and sweeping views of Lake George.

Saturday, January 31 delivers a showstopper: fireworks launched over Lake George in celebration of Winter Carnival weekend. The combination of fireworks reflecting off the frozen lake, illuminated ice sculptures, and festive crowds creates a classic Adirondack winter scene—one that feels tailor-made for memory-making.

This added spectacle makes the second weekend especially appealing for visitors planning a full Winter Carnival getaway or locals looking to cap off January with something special.

Live music carries through the weekend, setting the rhythm for dancing, socializing, and lingering longer than planned. Seasonal cocktails and hearty bites round out the experience, ensuring guests stay fueled from afternoon through evening.

Friday evening offers a relaxed kickoff from 4 to 10 pm, while Saturday’s 1 to 10 pm hours invite guests to make a full day of it—pairing the Fire & Ice Bar with Winter Carnival festivities throughout the village.
