The Plate Scrapers Headline Tannery Pond Center’s Summer Concert Series in North Creek

Appearing on Thursday, August 14, The Plate Scrapers are a welcome addition to Tannery Pond Center’s Summer Concert Series.

Born from the tradition of Bluegrass jams and potlucks, The Plate Scrapers—Derek Kretzer (banjo), Andrew Jordan (guitar), Robbie Mann (fiddle), Jody Mosser (dobro), and Kevin Johnson (bass)—have been dedicated to showcasing their love for the genre since 2014.

The band has released three studio albums and three live albums, and they have toured extensively up and down the East Coast and into the Midwest. In 2019, they won the Podunk Bluegrass Telefunken Band Contest. They have been featured on WAMU Bluegrass Country Radio and performed as an IBMA Official Showcase artist. Their latest release, *Destination Horizon* (2020), debuted at #9 on the Bluegrass Album Billboard charts and received rave reviews from Bluegrass Today.

Striving to maintain a balance between their diverse musical backgrounds and traditional Appalachian sounds, The Plate Scrapers have captivated audiences across the spectrum.

This progressive Bluegrass act truly feels at home on any stage. They have provided direct support for bluegrass legends such as The Seldom Scene, Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, and Larry Keel.

On the flip side, they aren’t afraid to embrace creativity during late-night festival slots, becoming well-known for their balanced and refreshingly diverse songwriting.
