Old Forge’s 2025 Duck Derby Labor Day Weekend.

Watch as 3,000 rubber ducks sail down the Moose River for a good cause.

LivingADK hosts its annual Rubber Duck Derby to raise funds for its essential activities that support vibrant and sustainable year-round communities in the Adirondacks.

Join the fun on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to watch as thousands of rubber ducks are released into the Moose River near the covered bridge and dam in Old Forge, located on Route 28.

Enjoy a fun-filled day with music, grilled hot dogs, face painting, corn, and the excitement of the event! You can adopt a single duck for $5 or a "Flock of 5" ducks for $20, and cheer them on for a chance to win one of 19 fantastic prizes donated by generous local business owners.

Ducks can be adopted from mid-June until Labor Day weekend at the Friday Old Forge Farmers Market or at the Old Forge Visitor Information Center.

All proceeds will benefit LivingADK and its mission to promote healthy, vibrant, and growing communities in the West Central Adirondacks.
