Celebrate New York Maple Syrup Producers in Thurman
The first of three weekends focused on all things maple near Lake George in the Adirondacks.
New York State’s Adirondack region is the destination for outstanding maple products.
Thurman’s Maple Days annual event is the perfect opportunity to discover the farms, maple syrup producers and artisans in a scenic community between Lake George Village and Gore Mountain in the southern Adirondacks.
This three-weekend event takes place March 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24, 2024 — from 10 am to 4 pm each day.
Thurman Town Hall acts as the hub for this farm tour. From there, follow the map to visit farms, maple sugar houses, and craftspeople in the region.

Sample the best of New York State’s maple syrup producers.
Visit numerous maple farms in Thurman producing syrup and many other maple-infused products. Many of these institutions have been owned and operated by multiple generations of the same family.
Each stop on the tour features a unique experience, from demonstrations of different aspects of the maple syrup production process to hayrides, campfires, and samples and tastings.
Visit farm-to-table food providers and local artisans and craftspeople.
Thurman Maple Days is not just about maple syrup; it’s also an opportunity to discover the other artisans in the area. Included on this year’s tour are Nettle Meadow Farm and Kemp Animal Sanctuary. Nettle Meadow is a well-established farm that has been producing award-winning cheeses for several years.
They also operate the Kemp Animal Sanctuary is home to over 130 animals, including differently-abled sheep and goats from Nettle Meadow’s production herd and farm animals such as llamas, horses, donkeys, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, cats, bunnies, peacocks, and more.
