Snowmobilers Gather in Old Forge for SnoFest 2024
Check out next year’s models at the Adirondack’s premier snowmobile show.
The Central Adirondack Association will host SNOFEST 2024 on March 8 and 9 at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street in Old Forge. The event will be abuzz with the sound of sleds from three major manufacturers: Arctic Cat, Polaris and Ski-Doo.
Adirondack snowmobilers can preview next year’s models and accessories at Old Forge’s Snofest.
What better way for Adirondack snowmobilers to wrap up winter than at an event where they can get an exclusive preview of the models coming out for the 2024/2025 snowmobile season? Weather permitting, Arctic Cat will provide demo rides on Friday and Saturday. This is an excellent opportunity to ride before buying, and it’s all happening in Old Forge in the Adirondacks.
Two days of demos, previews of new snowmobile equipment, raffles, and fireworks.
SNOFEST’s hours are 9 am – 5 pm, both Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9. During these hours, the North Street pavilion will be filled with snowmobiles, sled accessories, vendors, raffles, and delicious food and beverages prepared by the Old Forge Fire Department. The fireworks display will take place on Saturday at dusk.
Be sure to get a ticket to win a Blizzard 12ft NorEaster trailer donated by North South Connection. This exciting prize is valued at $7,200. Tickets are only $20 each and are available during SNOFEST at the pavilion, at the Old Forge Information Center and online. The raffle drawing will take place on Saturday, March 8th. Remember, you’ve got to be in it to win it.
RAVE X freestyle snowmobile show is back at SnoFest in Old Forge.
RAVE X freestyle snowmobile show returns to SnoFest after a 13-year absence. RAVE X riders Chris Coosemans and Daniel Shaffer are considered to be among the foremost practitioners of the sport of freestyle snowmobiling. Few riders in the world still ride freestyle and perform at shows.
No snow? No problem. The riders now land on a portable inflatable airbag, so they no longer have to rely on snow. The show will happen regardless of the weather. The crowd will see some awesome tricks, including the Superman, Superman seat grabs, super cans and the death-defying backflip.
These riders will be 30 feet in the air, jumping a 70-foot distance on a ramp called a super kicker. The show takes place on Saturday at 3 pm.
