During October, West Mountain in the southern Adirondack woodlands hosts family-friendly fall weekends on October 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19, 2025.

A weekend full of fun, family-friendly activities.

The 9th annual West Mountain Fall Festival is a celebration of the harvest, fall foliage, and everything else that makes those crisp fall days in the Adirondacks so fantastic.

The West Mountain Fall Festival is a three-weekend event that offers a wide variety of fall activities for the entire family.

At the festival, you can enjoy popular attractions such as scenic chairlift rides, an aerial treetop adventure course, live music, mountaintop picnics, mountain biking, scenic hikes, brewery tastings, pumpkin painting, and more.

Additional activities include a keg toss for those over 21, a petting zoo with pony rides, and the chance to interact with a Snow Cat.

The festival features both indoor and outdoor vendors, with local crafters, artists, and specialty food trucks on site to ensure an unforgettable experience.

Throughout October, visitors can take part in various activities that showcase the stunning fall foliage of the southern Adirondacks. Admission to the event is free, although some activities may require a fee.

• The cafe will serve fall favorites and beverages, and fall-inspired adult libations will be available at the bar in the main lodge.
